Diego Luciano

Diego began experimenting with cinematography since his childhood, filming short films in middle school with his little handheld camera. Later on he got also into photography using small and disposable cameras where he found out he was falling in love with the medium. He then went to the University of Puerto Rico in Bayamón to study a Bachelors in Industrial Engineering which, between classes, he kept doing photography and videography and realizing that engineering wasn't for him, he then started an Associate's Degree in Cinematography at the Colegio de Cinematografía, Artes y Televisión (CCAT). It was there where one professor told him about his "unique photographic eye", encouraging him to take that path.

He then decided to take advantage of such talent, doing various styles of photography and also implementing his photography knowledge to filmmaking. Now with a BA in Photography from Atlantic University, he has been part of many film projects and commercials which have given him many film festival awards and nominations in Puerto Rico and international Film Festivals around the globe.

One of said awards granted him a scholarship to study film in EICAR, Paris, France. Diego is working full-time as a Director of Photography doing commercial work for many clients, narrative, music videos and documentary work. His first feature film as a DoP (El Episodio) premiered October 7th, 2024 in movie theaters in Puerto Rico and later on in Amazon Prime. He is being loyal to his motto "never stop creating."
