Alejandro Duran was born on July 24, 1984, in Santo Domingo. This talented young man, Theatre and Film actor, discovered his passion for acting by participating in college plays. Through the years He gained experience and confidence in front of the cameras participating in television commercials and supporting roles discovering my artistic need.
In November 2015, seeking to grow as an artist and turn her passion into a career, He participated in the acting workshop of the talented actress, producer, and director Judith Rodríguez, whom he considers a teacher and mentor. With the passion that characterizes him, he continued his training by participating in different workshops on acting techniques, acting training, directing, and dramaturgy with outstanding professionals in the art such as Indiana Brito, Hamlet Bodden, Clara Benoit Casanova, Lisselotte Nin, Reinaldo Disla, Manuel Chapuseaux and Denis Godoy.
Alejandro achieves his first professional role as an actor working on the National Geographic cable television series Preso Abroad. His most important role in the cinema was as one of the leading characters in the Dominican film Amigo D, directed by Francisco Valdez. Then he is part of the cast in the film project Sol en el Agua by the same director. He participated as a supporting actor in La Rasante by director Hans Garcia and Hotel Coppelia in the hands of director José María Cabral.
In theatre, Alejandro makes his debut under the direction of his teachers Judith Rodríguez and Indiana Brito in the adaptation of the play Bodas de Sangre presented at the theater house in 2016. The following year he personifies John Proctor in Salem Witches by the hand of both directors. He starred in Letters to Nobody as The Painter an original work by Iván Miura directed by Hamlet Boden.
Alejandro has a career as an Assistant Director working for Pinewood Dominicana and other important producers in the country. Working in major productions such as The lost city, Shotgun wedding, The killer by David Fincher, and more.
