Demetri York was born on July 24, 1991, in Cyprus. At the age of 17, he took his first step towards acting in the tv-series Gia Tin Agapi Sou, ANT1 tv. He did improv training at Satiriko Theatre for three years. At 21, Demetri started doing stand-up comedy in various comedy clubs in Cyprus. One year later, he was in the Tv Series 7 Ouranoi kai Synnefa Alites, SigmaTv for two seasons. When he was 23, he starred in the Comedy Series Sasta tzi egirasin, SigmaTv. In the same year, he wrote, produced, directed and starred in the Comedy Show Xelononistikakia. In the summer of 2014, he moved to Los Angeles. He graduated from Stella Adler Academy of Acting with a full scholarship. Right after his graduation he starred in the short films RED and Oh My Dear Darling. In 2017, he played in two short films Please Don't Call The Cops and 6PM.
