Biography

José Guertzenstein started his career in 2004 writing, directing and producing advertising films and documentary and fiction short films. In 2013 he founded Produção Carioca alongside Thomas Stavros and since then has focused his career on creating and writing series and feature films for movie theaters and TV.

The features and series that he has participated in as screenwriter, producer and script contributor, have accumulated dozens of awards and nominations at the most prestigious international festivals, such as the International Emmy Awards, Monte-Carlo TV Festival, Lift-Off Film Festival, Platinum Film Festival Ibero-Americano, Gramado Film Festival, Brazilian Film Grand Prix, ABRA Roteiro Award, APCA Award, and more.
