Biography

Simon Watts specialises in sports broadcasting and documentary making in the UK with a strong on-air background in voiceover and football reporting / commentary.

In 2023 Simon produced a 4-part series of World Cup documentaries for beIN Sports, which included interviews with the likes of Lionel Messi, Emi Martinez, Hugo Lloris and Piers Morgan. This came off the back of producing a successful daily World Cup show for MGM in America.

In 2016 Simon produced and voiced his own documentary 'Out of Contract' for Sky Sports and has since worked on several high profile English football documentaries - including 'Class of '92: Full Time' for Sky Sports in 2019, 'the Next Jamie Vardy' broadcast on Sky One in 2017 and producing a multiple award winning fly-on-the-wall mini corporate series for IBM, testing Artificial Intelligence on a non-league football team 'Raise the Game'.

Simon can be heard regularly on ITV's EFL highlights shows, UEFA Europa League highlights and magazine shows, World feeds for the FA Cup, MLS and international matches Sky Soccer Saturday and Talksport. He still makes occasional on-screen appearances presenting 'Team Talk' for local channel Notts TV. He was previously an on-screen reporter for IMG Premier League Productions.
