Ivan Murphy trained and performed in theatre in Ireland at school and at University College Cork (UCC), where he completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.
He later trained and has performed at the American Academy of Dramatic Art in Los Angeles and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. He has worked in film, TV & theatre
In 2019 at the Los Angeles Film Awards he won Best Actor in an Indie Film for The Taping (2019), the film also won Best Ensemble.
He speaks fluent French and conversational Spanish.
