Ashton Montague Segree was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. A natural born athlete, he worked hard for a successful career in numerous sports which led to a football and track scholarship at the collegiate level. In college he developed a love for the agency and performance side of the music industry, which later led him to relocating to Los Angeles. Shortly after his arrival in 2012, he landed a job with CAA's music department. His love for the performing arts created entrepreneurial endeavors over the next few years, however his passion for performing continued to surface.
Ashton's previous work in the entertainment industry gives him a unique perspective that he brings to his acting. He knew he wanted to be involved with the arts at the young age of 5. Growing up with a mother who was a former ballerina and active in the arts at WQED in Pittsburgh, and a father who worked for Pittsburgh Public Theatre with playwright August Wilson and the Miami City Ballet.
Ashton began his acting career during Summer 2016 attending acting classes at Ivana Chubbuck Studios, there he studied script analysis, film and theatre techniques. He has also attended Studio Institute Global during Summer 2018, which has given him training in voice and breath, commercial acting, voice over work, audition technique and building the character. Ashton is represented by Wild Models in Los Angeles for commercial and print. He is also represented by ASAP Talent Agency for television and film. Ashton has since booked jobs in both modeling and film, working on upcoming projects and continues to audition and write.
