Alethea Varner is Michigan actress who grew up in the surrounding suburbs of Detroit. At the
tender age of 13 she began performing in theater and competed in
competitions for storytelling at M.I.F.A (Michigan Interscholastic Forensics Assoc.).
Later she studied media arts and acting at MCC where she wrote,
produced and directed her first film.
Alethea has performed in theater play(s) such as Beauty Behind the Mask and is also known for roles in film as Captain Gavail in Family Survival, Ghost Mom in Side Effects, Ms. Kirkwood in Stoners, Melissa in The Takers Crown, Carla in Solomon, Rachael in Wards, Jade in Renaissance City, Nova in the web series Street Numbers and Street Sweepers and a disgruntled shopper in Little Fires. She has also done voice over work in the audio series Black Squire as Sister Esterly and Helena and tutorials for Price Waterhouse Coopers. Alethea was nominated for a best supporting actress award in 2017. Besides acting, she is also a plus size model who has modeled for Curv Bella Boutique, The Fashion Statement, Detroit based clothing lines Extablix and Unite Us All. In 2019, she received a fashion award for plus size modeling in Detroit from F.W.D (Fashion Forward).
