Biography

Richie Watkins

Edit

Biography

    • Heavily inspired by Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Richie Watkins, from an early age, devoted most of his life to being a comedic actor. At 11, he started filming his own comedy sketches and short films, where he would play multiple original characters. At 13 and 14, he starred in a self-made, full-length feature titled "Fishing Fury", which co-starred his late grandpa, John J. Becker. During high school, Richie played supporting roles (all comedic) in school plays, and continued to star in self-made comedy sketches, short films, commercials, and music videos. He also performed stand-up comedy from time to time at local venues, mainly impersonating his idols.

During college at Webster University, Richie met fellow filmmaker Matt Kohler. Matt (a martial artist and fight choreographer) and Richie collaborated on all of their student and non-student projects throughout their 4 years, providing a more collaborative training ground for Richie's acting. After college ended, the two officially founded their company Red Fist Productions, where Richie uses his acting skills to promote the fight scene-driven web series production company.

In 2016, Richie began formal training with Creative Actors in St. Louis. During his time with the esteemed class that was started by the late Scott Arthur Allen, Richie has been honing his craft as both a comedic and a dramatic actor.
