“There are definitely changes. There are surprises. And there are things that aren’t exactly like the books,” Han told Entertainment Weekly ahead of the Season 3 premiere in July. “You also want to serve the people who have been fans for 15 years, who are excited about certain things. But you can’t make everyone happy.”

The actors also said they enjoy keeping viewers speculating about the show’s endgame.

It had previously been revealed in March that the third season would be the show’s last. The final season will contain 11 episodes. “The Summer I Turned Pretty” focuses on a love triangle between Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) and two brothers, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).

Additional cast members include Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Sean Kaufman and Rain Spencer.

Shane Gillis is back and ready to turn his business around in “Tires” Season 2, releasing June 5 on Netflix.

Following the success of their major marketing plan, Will (Steven Gerben) and Shane (Gillis) rush to grow their business professionally. The official synopsis reads: “Will, the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain, attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane.”

Gillis self-financed Season 1’s first six episodes before Netflix acquired the show as part of a deal including a stand-up special. The show is created by Gillis, Steve Gerben and John McKeever with a cast featuring Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox and Stavros Halkias, including guest star Andrew Schulz.

The young adult drama series, adapted from Jenny Han’s book trilogy, currently has two seasons out, with new episodes still dropping Thursdays. Things are heating up for Belly in Season 2 as the Aug. 18 finale approaches.

Season 3 will have 10 episodes, compared to Season 1’s seven and Season 2’s eight.

Amazon is returning to Cousins.

The retail giant/streamer has handed out a season-three renewal for its young-adult series The Summer I Turned Pretty.

Based on the book trilogy by author and exec producer Jenny Han, season three will consist of 10 episodes — up from its previous orders of seven and eight in seasons one and two, respectively.

According to an Amazon news release, season three of Summer was greenlit ahead of both the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Production on the new season will not begin until after both the writers and performers strikes have been resolved.

Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka will serve as co-showrunners on season three of the series and exec produce alongside Karen Rosenfelt, Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen and Paul Lee of Wiip, which co-produces the series alongside Amazon Studios.
