James 'Hotfeet' Davis
Grandmaster James "Hotfeet" Davis, son of James Davis Sr. and Eloise Graham Davis was born in New York City. He has been studying the Martial Arts for 48 years. He began his quest in the martial arts at the age of 8 under the tutelage of Grandmaster Lamarr Thornton AKA "Kushinda". Master Thornton throughout his career has had the opportunity to interact and train with some of the great martial artists in the business such as Wesley Snipes and Michael Jai White to name a few. As of 2015, he holds a 9th Degree Black Belt in Shotokan, Kushindaryu and Shotoryu Karate Boxing(a street art as well as a full contact art)of which he is the founder. In addition, he holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in Kempo, a 4th Degree Black Belt in Aikido and a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwan Do. At his ripe age, he won 3 heavyweight belts from 28-year old semi pro full contact champion Bobby "One Punch" Cerios. In the point system, he accumulated well over 300 trophies for kumite and was ranked #1 in New York City in the 70's and 80's. In full contact fighting, he accumulated a record of 32 and 2. He is a 4-time Hall of Fame Inductee in Sifu Alan Goldberg's Action Magazine Hall of Fame.

James "Hotfeet" Davis entered the United States Army at the age of 17 with his father's signature of approval. His career took him several places around the world opening his eyes to the ills of the world. After 10 years of service, he exited the military with a decorated and honorable discharge.

His love for the arts caused him to seek a career in acting. He landed his first job as a paid extra (a soldier who fell in a hole) in the 1984 Blockbuster film "Ghost Busters" starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson. To date he still has his pay stubs in pristine condition as a memento of his first paying job. He was also a non paid extra in several other films such as "Splash" starring Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah,"Under the Gun" starring Vanessa Williams and "Tougher than Leather" starring Run-D.M.C. During that time, he began working at a Hip Hop Club called Disco Fever, often called "The Fever" in the Bronx. It was there that he started his Bodyguard career.

After struggling to get real work in the industry, he became frustrated and decided to take a job at General Motors where he remained employed for 30 years. He worked on the assembly line for many years and ventured for a short while as a union representative. Although he had a good paying job, earning well over $100K per year, nothing could fill the void in his life. That void was finally filled when a close Army Buddy "Michael Hostos" introduced him to his Lord and Savior. He started attending a local church in the Bronx and it was there that he met his current wife of 24 years. He fathered a total of 7 children, two with his current wife.

After he retired, he took on writing as a hobby and authored his first book "Methods of a Street Fighter" A guide to Self Defense. He later authored an autobiography entitled "From the Belly of the Beast to the Arms of the Prince of Peace" His passion for writing, lead him to write his first film story entitled "Belly of the Beast" which he produced, directed and also starred in. The film was produced in 2014 and went straight to DVD on demand in May of 2015.

In the military he learned two things: One, "You have to crawl before you walk", Second, "Never give up, never quit even after you have fired your last round".
