Melissa Denning

Melissa Denning was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, where she grew up modeling and acting, singing and performing every chance she got. She took part in community theater, walked runway shows for several clothing companies and talent agencies, modeled in print ads for Just for Feet, JC Penny's, and Ralph Lauren, and competed in beauty pageants. After she attend the AMTC annual convention for talent in Orlando, Florida, her love for acting and desire to crossover from theater to film became extremely apparent, and her family worked hard to keep her on the stage and working towards this goal as she continued her education.
She attended Briarwood Christian High School and performed in numerous talent reviews, musicals, and dramas. She also held major roles in local theaters such as the Birmingham Children's Theater and the University of Alabama at Birmingham's summer theater programs, where she starred in her final summer performing with them as Golde in "The Fiddler on the Roof." Beginning to find more film opportunities in her hometown around this time, she landed her first role on film as a background talent in Kenton Bartlett's film, "Missing Pieces," and modeled for a major southeastern toy company around the same time.
Her more recent appearances came when she got married and moved to Atlanta in 2014. She began working with local photographers and peer talent to land roles as background characters in "Devious Maids" (2015) and "Constantine" (2015), followed by a major role in a music video for the upcoming singer Kristy Butler ("Superwoman", 2015) and as Giselle, a battered wife, in the series "Love Crimes."
