Samantha Westervelt is a Brooklyn-based actor, writer, and musician. She co-wrote and stars in the absurd buddy comedy Sour Party, which received the Andrews/Bernard 3 Award presented by Steven Soderbergh. Her work is rooted in emotional truth.
Samantha recently completed her first year of training at the William Esper Studio, where she continues to refine her craft through the Meisner technique. Also an accomplished bassist, she draws from a background in collaborative performance that informs her instinctive, embodied approach to acting. She is developing her first solo-written feature, a political satire that furthers her exploration of how identity is shaped by systems - and how to break them.
