Biography

    • Jim Childs received his first theatrical review in the Pasadena Star-News, which described his portrayal of Mr. Paravicini as "sinister, sinister, sinister" in the highly acclaimed Agatha Christie murder-mystery The Mousetrap. He has continued to captivate audiences with his dynamic range and powerful performances on both stage and screen such as the leading title role of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Sorcerer and the insufferable Carter in Dennis E. Noble's A Game. Often known for specializing in eccentric and villainous roles, he has appeared in several psychological thrillers, has guest starred on television shows, hosted his own horror-comedy series, and has recently been cast as the lead in an upcoming dramatic film.

Jim has studied the Yat Malmgren method and is an alumnus of LACC's Theatre Academy where he was instructed under the tutelage of Jennifer Rountree and Fred Fate. His actor training also includes the Kristin Linklater theory and commedia dell'arte.

Raised in East Los Angeles and educated in New York City, his background extends to puppeteering, voice-over work, and he was a member of the Sam Donlavy Dance Company in Hollywood. While he enjoys meeting and working alongside new people throughout the country, he also seeks to contribute to the rising film industry in Las Vegas, Nevada.
