Kenny Keen is an American artist, actor, writer, director, and producer hailing from Virginia. His journey into the world of performance began early when he took the stage in his third-grade talent show, winning first place for a comedy duo skit. Despite this early success, Kenny's childhood focus shifted toward his passion for drawing and creating art.
As he grew older, Kenny channeled his creativity into writing and illustrating Indie comics. This eventually evolved into screenwriting for stories that, in his words, were "too big for comics." Alongside his artistic pursuits, Kenny is also a trained martial artist and a former bouncer, known for his philosophy of taking "the nice approach, unless you really wanna go there."
Kenny's foray into filmmaking began in 2017, working with various local independent filmmakers. He took on roles both in front of and behind the camera, absorbing as much knowledge as possible. This experience ignited a deep passion for storytelling through film, and since then, Kenny has been actively networking and collaborating on a diverse range of film projects.
His breakout role came as Titus in the award-winning film Freedom of North Carolina. In recent years, Kenny has produced several of his own projects, including Just My Luck, where he served as writer, director, and lead actor. Additionally, he has appeared in both mainstream and independent productions, including The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Revenge Best Served Chilled for the Lifetime channel, The Gospel of Ted, and Broken Church.
