Josef Ellers

Originally from Carinthia, the actor and voice artist works both on stage and in front of the camera. Most recently, he appeared in the title role of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Hamburg (2023/24). He gained international recognition through the BBC series Vienna Blood (2018-2024). His stage career began with The Sound of Music at the Volksoper in Vienna, followed by engagements at numerous Viennese theaters, including four seasons as part of the ensemble at the Theater in der Josefstadt. Notable productions include #Werther and Richard III (Bronski & Grünberg, 2017/18), Peter Turrini's Rozznjogd (Rabenhof, 2022), and Viktoria und ihr Husar at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich (2019). He has been honored with the cultural award of the Hörbiger Kultursalon.
