Rick Joaquim, SASC is an award-winning London-based Cinematographer with a passion for storytelling and collaboration. Originally from South Africa, his work spans narrative, commercial, and music video projects.
His accolades include being featured in the ARRI Camera Showreel (2019), winning "Best Cinematography" at The British Short Film Awards (2022), and receiving "Best Achievement in Cinematography in a Documentary" at the South African Film & Television Awards (2022). His work has also been showcased at Sundance, Cannes, and Aesthetica Film Festivals. Rick was selected for the prestigious ASC Vision Mentorship Program (2022 & 2023) and has been mentored by renowned DOPs Jess Hall ASC, BSC, and Alice Brooks ASC. He was also spotlighted in British Cinematographer Magazine as a rising star in their 'Meet the New Wave' series.
