VaShawn Dixon

VaShawn Dixon (born February 7, 1990) is an American Film Director, Actor, Screenwriter, Cinematographer, Editor, Producer & Filmmaker. Independently Dixon has won the Silver 2021 Telly Award for Directing, Cinematography, Editing & Writing. Dixon was born in Mobile Alabama, son of Julius & Pauletta Dixon. VaShawn moved back & forth to New York & found his passion for film. Dixon graduated from LeFlore High School & went to UAB to major in pharmacy; after 3 years of college, Dixon resigned from his courses and found his passion for Film. Dixon started his own Film Production company called Control Overdose Films LLC. in 2014 & has since Directed, Produced & Acted in various Short Films, Music Videos, Commercials & Feature Films. Dixon's faith in God & the Law of Attraction has synchronized him with the Universe. VaShawn's innovative approach to storytelling & mastery in directing & cinema surpasses the norm & matches that of industry professionals. Dixon's brilliant mind & passion for film continues to grow as he pursues his dreams to becoming one of the most influential film directors & actors of all time. Dixon is an advocate in promoting only positive influences in today's society for the youth & challenges the next generation of culture with vivid storytelling & original content.
