Elena Pieridou (Ellen Pierre) was born on the island of Cyprus. She began training as a ballerina at the age of four. Over time, she added jazz, tango and contemporary to her repertoire. She made her theatre debut at the age of thirteen. Dance, music and acting filled her school years.
In 2009, she earned a place at Laine Theatre Arts after a successful audition and moved to London.
She graduated three years later with a diploma in Acting and Musical Theatre.
In the same year, she starred as 'Victoria' in the musical "Cats".
Her television debut came a few years later with the Greek TV series "Orkos Siopis" (Vow of Silence).
Ellen rose to prominence with her leading role in the TV series "Glykanisos", in which she portrayed a Syrian refugee. The role was both challenging and exciting, as she had to learn Arabic. The role also required her to embody the customs and everyday practices of Arab culture.
She is set to make her cinema debut with two upcoming short films.
Ellen is based in Athens, Greece.
