Tom Knoblauch was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He is a cultural critic, internationally award-winning filmmaker, broadcaster, and voiceover artist. Together with Ben Matukewicz, he started Omaha-based Aksarben Creative in order to contribute to the Midwest's film culture. He created and executive produces the NPR affiliate talk show Riverside Chats, which he also hosts. He lives in Omaha, Nebraska.
