Tejaswini Lonari, fondly known as Teja, is an Indian actress recognized for her contributions to Marathi and Hindi cinema, as well as television. Born into a creative family, her mother, Neelima Lonari, is a renowned director and producer, while her father, Balkrishna Samvatsarkar Lonari, served as an army officer. Her brother, Shivam Lonari, is also a producer. Tejaswini began her acting journey at the age of 16 and went on to study filmmaking at Mumbai's MET College.
She made her debut in Marathi cinema with *No Problem* (2005) and in Hindi films with *Bombay to Goa* (2007). She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Rani Padmini in the historical TV serial *Chittor Ki Rani Padmini Ka Johar* (2009) on Sony TV. Over the years, Tejaswini has starred in various Marathi films, including *Baap Re Baap Dokyala Taap* (2008), *Doghat Tisra Ata Sagla Visra* (2008), *Guldasta* (2011), *Chinu* (2012), and *Aflatoon* (2023). She also featured in the English film *Defective Detective* (2024).
Tejaswini's television career includes roles in popular Marathi serials such as *Devmanus* on Zee TV and *Tuzech Me Geet Gaat Ahe* on Star Pravah. She gained immense popularity after participating in *Bigg Boss Marathi Season 4*, where she was beloved by audiences across Maharashtra.
In addition to her acting career, Tejaswini is the founder of the Chaturthi Animal Foundation, an NGO dedicated to the welfare of stray animals. She has won the State Award for Best Actress for her performance in *Chinu* and was also nominated for the Zee Gaurav Award for the same role. Her work extends to the Telugu film industry with a role in *Arthamcheskoru*.
