Debra Devi is a screenwriter, author and musician. Goodbye Homeboy is her screenplay adapted from the book Goodbye Homeboy that she co-authored with special ed teacher and Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship founder Steve Mariotti. Devi is working with producer Richard Baratta (The Irishmen, Joker and other Academy Award-nominated films) to develop Goodbye Homeboy into a feature film. Goodbye Homeboy is a BAFF and RIFF screenplay competition semi-finalist and scored 7 on The Blacklist. Devi appears in the documentary America's Blues, discussing her book The Language of the Blues. She composes and performs songs for film and television, including Tenderness (Laura Dern, Russell Crowe), Getting Off (Christine Harnos, Brooke Smith), "Driven-Tim McGraw" (VH-1), Fight LIke a Girl (Maureen Shea, Kimberly Tomes).
