Mara is a classically trained actress, and plays characters that represent "unrelenting grit", whether it's comedy or drama, the character that will go to all odds to go for justice. On set, she always brings a positive spirit that's infectious.
As a producer she connects high-level executives to up-coming writers and directors. She currently has partnered with 30 yr distribution company, creating new avenues for burgeoning markets. (and she crushes it in the sales market!)
Mara, born in Long Branch New Jersey, moved at 6 mos old to a very small town in Iowa. Growing up in the country amid gravel roads and corn fields and hearing stories from her east coast mother about this mystical place called "Manhattan", she knew at the age of three she wanted to be an actress. This propelled her to NYC, post college, with a number of years spent studying and living throughout Europe.
She has trained in theatre with Eugenio Barba of Odin Teatret in Denmark, Dah Teatre in Serbia, and extensively in classical theatre and Meisner technique in New York with the late Robert Patterson. She has a degree in Theatre and Women's Studies from the University of Iowa.
She has a love of writing, and being in nature, so now is residing between Becket, Massachusetts in a small cabin on 47 acres of protected land, and in Washington Heights in NYC.
She has a passion for music, singing being her first love. "Music is a remedy for the soul and acting is a way to connect with the audiences I want to touch."

- Mara is an advisor at SXSW Tech Pitch Fest and the Long Beach Tech Accelerator. She is an active producer, and has a large sales and investor network. Mara is a mentor of college and teen girls, building a community hub of young women's entrepreneurs. As an actress she is classically trained, studied extensively in Meisner and Linklater Voice Technique. She is also a martial artist with experience in hand-to-hand combat, boxing, and ninjitsu. She plays roles that define a sense of justice, intersecting on morality and questioning a sense of justice.
