Ingrid Jordan is one of the rare up and coming actresses today that can easily transition from comedy, drama, suspense and thriller all in one take due to the emotionally driven studies of her craft. With a passion, she wears her heart on her sleeve and is a firm believer that transparency is transferable.
The Louisiana native traveled east at the curious age of 9 and relocated to Atlanta, Ga. Not only did she pack her material belongings, she made sure to bring her dreams along for a ride that would eventually mature into reality.
Both ambitious and inquisitive instincts shaped shifted Ingrid's appetite for international cultures. She literally put in countless hours of dialect training catered to the Spanish language before discovering her love for acting. The proverbial acting bug, coupled with her now fluent second language, had her mimicking various popular film scenes and voices in a more diversified way. Like many young adults, yet in her own unique story, Ingrid Jordan faced her fair share of trials and tribulations but kept a mindset of tunnel vision through it all. Graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree of Science, looks great on any resume but her heart belonged to a life of television, film and voice over acting.
In her quest to fulfill her destiny, Ingrid has participated in a broad spectrum of training programs such as voice over and commercial techniques, on-camera and scene study and not to mention a plethora of audition and improv workshops. It was through those particular rigors that she cultivated a skill worthy of landing her first independent short film with New Life Production's, 'A Mother's Plea'. But who stops there when the momentum is heavy, right? Ingrid went on to do television, radio and landed supporting roles in several other independent productions until she hit the holy grail of her still young career...THE DIRECTOR'S CHAIR. Rightfully deserving, Ingrid Jordan is the co-creator, co-director, and producer of her very own story, 'UNBOWED'. In this film she has the privilege and duty of telling her personal views of a woman's inner depressions all the while ushering a solution to those fears. Ingrid believes that "having a voice only IMPLICATES that you've been heard while articulating the message IMPLEMENTS what was needed to hear".
Like most breakthrough stars, the glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel is daily fuel. The motivational pressure that morphs coal into diamonds. Being able to look beyond the debris of life is what makes Ingrid Jordan a visionary with a purpose that transcends any platform she chooses to plant her feet on.
