Romel Vargas is a Bolivian actor, born in Oruro and based in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where he was trained as an actor at the SIARTES Academy and at the Hollywood Academy of Performing Arts. Later on, he won a scholarship to continue his training at Los Andes Theater Artistic Residence.
In cinema, his latest credits include his leading roles in the Bolivian-Mexican film Søren by Juan Carlos Valdivia, and in the 48DFP IberoA film Reflejos Detrás del Agua. He also performed in the Bolivian-Uruguayan film El Visitante by Martín Boulocq; the Bolivian films Viernes de Soltero and Boquerón by Tonchy Antezana; and the Colombian-Bolivian film Anomalia by Sergio Vargas. In 2019, he won the best actor award at the 48HFP Cochabamba for his role in the short film Übermensch by Pablo Bustamante.
