Prolific and ubiquitous British bit player Hyma Beckley was born on August 27, 1911 in Lambeth, London, England. Beckley began popping up in films in uncredited minor roles in the late 1930's. A distinguished looking fellow with silver gray hair, Hyma was often cast as reporters, party guests, or passengers on ships, trains, or airplanes. Moreover, Beckley could also be spotted in the audience at either concerts or plays. He died at age 92 on April 13, 2004 in Herne Hill, London, England.
