She is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.) who holds a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto. A former lawyer and policy advisor for the Ontario government, she becomes a therapist because she wanted to help people to not only overcome mental health issues, but also achieve more satisfying and happier lives. She uses a practical, empathic counselling approach that aims to provide short term solutions while simultaneously dealing with the root causes of mental health issues.
A published writer, she is an experienced personal and career counsellor, reiki practitioner, workshop presenter, and speaker, most recently at the Intercultural Counselling and Education in the Global World Conference in Verona, Italy. She is also a certified member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and the Canadian Reiki Association, and have a background in theatre performance, music, and film production.
