8 Theories About Who The Man In Yellow Is In From
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3.The From season 3 finale introduces a mysterious new character credited as the Man in the Yellow Suit (Douglas E. Hughes). He appears in the final scene of From season 3's ending and proceeds to kill Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey). Unlike the Town's nocturnal monsters, the Man in Yellow is able to move freely during the day. He knows about Jade Herrera (David Alpay) playing the lullaby and warns that there are consequences for attaining knowledge.

The Man in Yellow solves the From mystery of whose voice was on the radio at the end of season 1, warning Jim that his wife, Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno), should not be digging a hole. In addition to revealing the Man in Yellow having a presence since season 1, From season 3, episode 2 set up the Man in Yellow's introduction in the paintings made by Victor's mother,...

From Season 4 Must Revive Boyd’s Biggest Story Set-Up That The Show Abandoned
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3.From season 4 should return to an abandoned season 3 storyline involving Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) and the monsters. In season 3, From's cast of characters were more threatened by the monsters than ever before. From season 3, episode 1 made this clear when the monsters let the farm animals loose at night and were waiting in the barn for Boyd and Tian-Chen Liu (Elizabeth Moy) when they returned with the animals. The monsters tearing open Tian-Chen's skull and killing her while they forced Boyd to watch was among the series' most brutal scenes so far.

The monsters did not relent after the premiere, as From season 3, episode 4 saw the monsters killing the paramedics the night they arrived in Town with Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno). Perhaps most haunting of all was the reveal in From season 3's ending that the creature growing inside Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori...

From Season 4 Has A Worsening Problem To Fix With One Of The Show’s Best Original Characters
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3.

From season 4 needs to give a larger role to one of the series' original characters. Since season 1, From's cast of characters has been extensive. Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) is arguably the show's most prominent character, but From has always been and continues to be an ensemble series. The cast only expanded further in season 2 when a bus became trapped in the Town, and several of its passengers became important characters, including Elgin (Nathan D. Simmons), Marielle (Kaelen Ohm), Randall (A.J. Simmons), and Tillie (Deborah Grover).

From season 3, episode 1 featured a major addition to the cast with the unexpected introduction of Victor's father, Henry Kavanaugh (Robert Joy), and Acosta (Samantha Brown) also became an important character following her debut later in season 3. Between the deaths of Tillie, Tian-Chen Liu (Elizabeth Moy), and especially with Jim Matthews in From season 3's ending, the ensemble is shrinking slightly.

From Season 3 Finally Fulfilled A Popular Character Romance Wish In A Very Unexpected, Brutal Way
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."

From season 3 made a popular fan romance come true at a brutal cost. Given the many horrors that From's characters constantly have to face in the Town, romance is often not at the forefront of the series. At the same time, romance has blossomed and been rekindled in the Town. Ellis Stevens (Corteon Moore) and Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) would never have met, let alone fallen in love and gotten married, if they had not become trapped in the Town.

When the Town trapped Marielle (Kaelen Ohm), she was unexpectedly reunited with her fiancée, Kristi Miller (Chloe Van Landschoot), who had been missing for months. Meanwhile, Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey) were preparing to get divorced before they became stranded in the Town with their children but have since rebuilt some of their marriage.

From Season 3 Finally Explains A Major Mystery About The Monsters' Ages
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."

The From season 3 finale addresses a long-running mystery about the monsters' ages. Since their introduction, From's nocturnal monsters have been one of the show's most prominent mysteries. They have terrorized, manipulated, and killed many of From's characters. The monsters' tactics only become more ruthless in season 3, including when they release all the farm animals and wait in the barn, where they brutally kill Tian-Chen Liu (Elizabeth Moy) in front of Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau).

While the monsters remain as terrifying as ever, the From season 3 ending does answer several major questions about them, including how and why they were created in the first place. The rebirth of the Smiley monster (Jamie McGuire), which was what was growing inside of Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori), also confirms that the monsters are immortal and Boyd did not permanently kill Smiley in season...

10 Biggest Mysteries & Unanswered Questions From Season 4 Must Solve
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."

From season 3 solved many of the show's biggest mysteries, but there are still important questions that remain unanswered. The season 3 premiere immediately answers what happened to Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) after she was pushed out of the lighthouse and woke up in a hospital during From season 2's ending. Tabitha's time in Camden, Maine brings more answers and questions, especially where the family of Victor Kavanaugh (Scott McCord) is concerned.

From season 3, episode 8 addresses the lingering question of who threw the rope down to Boyd Stevens in the season 2 premiere and officially introduces time travel into the series. This episode also begins to answer even bigger questions through Victor's restored memory of Christopher (Thom Payne) and the Boy in White (Vox Smith). From season 3's ending provides the most answers, including the monsters' origins, what was...

From Season 3 Confirms A Terrifying Theory About Why Fatima’s Baby Was Created
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."

The From season 3 finale confirmed a dark truth behind the pregnancy of Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori). One of From season 3's biggest mysteries was about what was growing inside of Fatima. In her life before becoming trapped in the Town, Fatima learned that she was unable to have children. Discovering that she was somehow pregnant in From season 2 could have been a positive miracle, but instead became something far more sinister and destructive.

The baby's appetite for rotten vegetables and human blood did not bode well, nor did the unbearable pain Fatima was experiencing. The unnatural pregnancy further escalated when Tillie (Deborah Grover) tragically lost her life in From season 3, episode 7 when she tried to help Fatima. While there were many theories about what was actually happening to Fatima, the truth revealed in the From season 3 ending was a particularly twisted and terrifying answer.

From Season 3 Confirms A Harsh Reality About The Monsters After Boyd Finally Killed One
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."

From season 3 reveals a difficult truth about the monsters despite Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) killing one of them. All the residents in the Town have been terrorized by From's nocturnal monsters, who emerge each night without fail, and have found increasingly disturbing ways to torment their victims. The Talismans that Boyd discovered have been useful in keeping the residents protected from the monsters in an enclosed space. This allows From's characters to stay in their homes at night instead of having to hide as they did before Boyd found the Talismans.

However, there is only so much that the Talismans can do, and the larger issue of the monsters remains. In From season 2, episode 6, "Pas de Deux," the residents seemingly have a game-changing victory against the monsters. Boyd kills the monster known as Smiley (Jamie McGuire), which is...

8 Mysteries From Season 3's Finale Finally Solved
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."From is known for its mysteries, many of which are answered in the season 3 finale. Why Sara Does That To Elgin In Froms Season 3 Finale
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."

The From season 3 finale sees Sara Myers (Avery Konrad) making a shocking decision when she is alone with Elgin (Nathan D. Simmons). In season 1, Sara hears voices that tell her to kill certain individuals among From's cast of characters. The voices promise that these murders will enable Sara and the other residents to escape the Town, but this is a lie, and the manipulation ends in tragedy when Sara accidentally kills her own brother, Nathan (Paul Zinno).

Many of the residents still do not trust Sara and find her to be one of From's scariest characters, but Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) has learned that she can be counted on, including when she helped him during their journey through the forest in season 1's final episodes. Meanwhile, Elgin has been deeply invested in ensuring that Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) gives birth,...

From's Season 3 Finale Resurrects A Major Villain Character After Shocking Death Twist
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."

The From season 3 finale resurrects a major villain killed from a previous season. Since the first episode, which begins with one of From's monsters killing Megan Pratt (Bella Martin) and her mother, Lauren (Ann Doyle), the series has been unafraid to kill characters. Father Khatri (Shaun Majumder), Tian-Chen Liu (Elizabeth Moy), Tillie (Deborah Grover), and now Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey) are among the many character deaths that have occurred since the first episode.

While many of the Township's residents have died, From's characters have not managed to kill most of the villains that terrorize them. One of the few exceptions is Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) killing the monster known as Smiley (Jame McGuire) in season 2, episode 6. Smiley is arguably the most recognizable of From's monsters, including his terrifying appearances during the massacre at Colony House in season 1. He...

'From' Season 3 Ending Explained - Who Is the Man in Yellow?

Well, that sure was a mind-bending end to the third season of the MGM+ hit psychological horror thriller From. There is quite a bit to unpack in a finale that saw the conclusion of Fatima's (Pegah Ghafoori) mysterious pregnancy, a clue about Tabitha (Catalina Sandino-Moreno), and Jade's (David Alpay) strange visions involving the "Anghkooey" ghost children, Julie's (Hannah Cheramy) critical role as a "Storywalker," and an ugly end for one of the show's most prominent characters at the hand of a brand-new character. By the end of the episode, the two main storylines are brilliantly interwoven. In this article, we will first address and explain the bigger, more convoluted picture of the Season 3 finale and then micro-analyze what the final few scenes mean going forward for the doomed people of Fromville.

The season 3 finale of MGM+'s critically-acclaimed sci-fi horror series, From, is now streaming, and while "Revelations: Chapter II" did finally provide answers to at least a couple of the show's overarching mysteries, it also raised some new questions.

‘From’ Season 3 Finale Ending Explained: Smiley Is Back

“From” Season 3 ended just as wildly as the entire show is. A major character died, Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Jade (David Alplay) share a past and Sara finally makes Elgin see straight …. You’ll get the joke later.

Episode 10: “Revelations: Chapter Two” kicks off with Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) having strong contractions, showing that the birth of what’s growing inside her is near. While this is going on, Tabitha explains that Victor’s mother, Miranda (Sarah Boothe), was previously murdered by Smiley, and Ellis (Corteon Moor) tells Boyd (Harold Perrineau) that he thinks Elgin (Nathan D. Simmons) has something to do with Fatima’s disappearance. Oh, and the cicadas’ chirps pushed Randall (A.J. Simmons) to the point that he tried to shock himself in the head with a defibrillator.

Created by John Griffin (Crater) and executive produced by Griffin, showrunner Jeff Pinkner and director Jack Bender, the series unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. From is set to return to production in Nova Scotia in 2025, and premiere in 2026.

Harold Perrineau (Lost) leads an ensemble cast which includes Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey (Band of Brothers), Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster (Strays), Ricky He (The Good Doctor), Chloe Van Landschoot, Corteon Moore (Utopia Falls), Pegah Ghafoori (The Perfect Wedding), David Alpay (Castle Rock), Elizabeth Saunders (Clarice), Avery Konrad (Honor Society), Scott McCord (East of Middle West), Nathan D. Simmons, Kaelen Ohm, Angela Moore, A.J. Simmons (Reacher), Deborah Grover (Night Heat), Robert Joy (CSI: NY) and Samantha Brown (Y: The Last Man).

“From has been a sensation for MGM+, capturing the attention of millions of viewers and helping us to shine a bright light on our MGM+ brand,” said Michael Wright, head of MGM+. “Our talented show creators and cast have brilliantly and carefully crafted this wonderful show, and we look forward to providing the answers the From audience so enthusiastically craves in season 4!”

From has been a hit out of the gate for MGM+. The sci-fi drama is the most viewed series in the history of the premium network, and has a 96 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

“We are thrilled by the support of our fans and our partners at MGM+ and are so excited to share the next chapter of our story with our FROMily. By the end of season 3, our characters will begin to understand why they are trapped in From Town… but will understanding help them to escape? And if so, how?” said Pinkner.

Perrineau plays Boyd Stevens, the sheriff whose Draconian rules have held the fragile town together, even as he searches for a way to escape this seemingly inescapable nightmare.

“With the culmination of Season Three we have, in many ways, reached the end of the beginning. In Season Four, a new journey begins. The question is whether it will lead our characters home, or deeper into this unrelenting nightmare,” said Griffin. “We are so grateful to our partners at MGM+ to be able to continue this tale and beyond excited to share the news with our amazing FROMily.”

Added Bender: “Congratulations and gratitude to Michael Wright and MGM+ for the incredible support. And to our brilliant family of actors and our gifted team in Nova Scotia. We’re looking forward to telling more of the tale.”

From is an Amazon MGM Studios production. Jeff Pinkner, John Griffin and Jack Bender serve as executive producers alongside Perrineau, Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec and Scott Rosenberg from Midnight Radio, Anthony and Joe Russo and Mike Larocca from Agbo, and Lindsay Dunn. Midnight Radio’s Adrienne Erickson serves as co-executive producer. The series is distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

From Season 3 Is Teasing A Massive Original Character Death For The Finale, But It Would Be A Huge Mistake
Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 9, "Revelations: Chapter One."

From is setting up the death of a major character for the season 3 finale, but it wouldn't be a smart move for the show. Since opening the series with a young girl and her mother being devoured by From's monsters, the story has not been afraid to kill characters. This has continued to be the case with From season 3's deaths, including the monsters killing Tian-Chen Liu (Elizabeth Moy) in front of Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) and Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) murdering Tillie (Deborah Grover).

After a season filled with so much loss, it feels inevitable that it will conclude with the most substantial loss yet. Fatima is seemingly in the most danger as she finds herself pregnant with a bloodthirsty creature, is held captive, and is being forced to give birth against her will. Killing Fatima would be...

It is during this trip that the Matthews family ends up trapped in the Town with the rest of From's characters.

The memory of Thomas continues to haunt the Matthews family, particularly in season 3. A voice claiming to be Thomas has repeatedly called Jim on the phone, who has spoken to Ethan as well. When Jim tells the voice to leave his...

Image
Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 8, "These Fragile Lives."

From season 3, episode 7, "These Fragile Lives" debunked the popular theory that Tillie (Deborah Grover) is a secretly nefarious character. Tillie first joined From's cast of characters at the beginning of season 2. Along with Randall (A.J. Simmons), Marielle (Kaelen Ohm), and Elgin (Nathan D. She was a kindly, free-spirited woman who adapted to her new circumstances better than many of her peers did.

It was also revealed that prior to finding herself in the Town, Tillie received a terminal cancer diagnosis. Despite this sympathetic backstory and her compassionate nature, many theories formed about Tillie being suspicious in From. These theories ranged from her secretly being one of the monsters to being a spy for them, especially as Tillie became increasingly connected to the supernatural...
