Li Wei(XXXI)

Li Wei, a documentary filmmaker, was born in Chongqing, and has been creating documentaries since 2014. His works Silence in the Dust (2022) and Enclave (2016) have won domestic and international awards, including a nomination for Best Documentary at the 59th Golden Horse Awards, the Grand Jury Prize at the Taiwan International Documentary Film Festival, and the Independent Spirit Award at the Beijing Independent Film Festival. His work has also been supported by prestigious organizations such as the Visions Sud Est, the Hong Kong Asian Film Financing Forum, and the Documentary Fund of the New Taipei City Government in Taiwan. He has also been invited by many prestigious institutions around the world for academic exchanges and permanent collections of his work, including New York University, Princeton University, Harvard University, Columbia University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In addition to his personal work, he also serves as a selection consultant for the Shanghai International Film Festival.
