An Award Winner Egyptian Actress whose fame skyrocketed after her first role Taht El-Saytara (2015) which gained phenomenal success by the critics and the mass audience in which Jamila played the role of a drug addict to win numerous awards and become Egypt's sweetheart and started to be an advocate for her generation's issues and be chosen by the ministry of social solidarity to be the spokesperson for drug addiction as the most influential figure to the younger audience.

Making career in both Film and Television, delivering some iconic master pieces such as Taht Al Saytara TV Series, Hepta (2016), El Daif (2018), High School Girls (2020) lazem aesh by Ila Ana TV series (2020), Harb Ahleya (2021), My Bride (2021).

Jamila's proved that her acting choices are courageous, bold and overpowering. She did not depend on her beauty nor afraid to tackle taboo issues in our modern society, being a voice to a younger yet educated audience.

Her roles always generate an open conversation and pave the way to change the narrative about issues such as recovered drug addicts, Vitiligo patients, falling in love with the wrong person and her most anticipated upcoming role as a transgender in "the Trial" Film. She often appears on many "most beautiful women" lists discussing her natural and captivating beauty.

Jamila Awad was born in Cairo, Egypt. In her earliest years, Jamila began absorbing the craft from her director father, Adel Awad and actress mother, Randa. Her Grandfather is the iconic late Egyptian Comedian Mohamed Awad. Highly acclaimed choreographer uncle, Atef Atef Awad. Being raised in a family full of industry professionals, and a Celebrity family. Jamila grew up to spend her time in theaters, movie and on magazine cover since the age of 1.

She can never recall the exact moment was when she decided to be an actress, but she knew she had to pave her own way in the industry and not depend on her family legacy. She went to audition to "taht el saytara" series by the highly critically acclaimed director Tamer Mohsen. Her debut role tackled drug use and her role skyrocketed her to fame with an instant immense fan base, since then she became one of the most viewed actresses of her generation with fans always anticipating her next role.

After "taht al saytara", she then took part in the top 3 blockbuster movie of they year (2016) each being the top of its season along side Egypt's superstars. Starting by film of "Hepta: the last lecture" that acquired the highest revenues for a romantic film based on a best selling book with the same name at Egyptian box office by award winner director Hadi El Bagoury. And then mystery movie "30 years ago" alongside Ahmed El-Saka ana Mona Zaki. Then the top blockbuster "FlimFlam"alongside Ahmed Helmy. She then tackled on on the role of the Iconic late Egyptian Actress Faten Hamama in the re-adaption of the 'La totfe' el shams" Film based on a book by author Ihssan Abd El-Kudoos into a TV series by the same name.

She partnered again with Hadi El Bagoury at "Al Daif", where she secured her first international award as Best African- Asian Actress Award at the New Vision International Film Festival in the Netherlands. The Film also premiered at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia and nabbed an Audience Award as well as Winning the people's choice award at Malmö International Film Festival. Jamila played the role of a young lady who brings chaos to her liberalist family after she falls in love with a despised terrorist, and she invites him over to introduce him to her parents. The award was her first international one, after nabbing numerous local awards and honors.

In 2019, Jamila participated in a panel discussion under the title: "Social Media: The Silent Producer" within the events of Cairo Industry Days, held on the margins of the 41st Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF). The panel's discussion highlighted how social media affected the film industry nowadays. In 2020, Jamila was selected to join as a juror at the Student Film Competition within the 6th Alexandria Short Film Festival.

In addition to her thriving acting career, Jamila successfully led numerous ad campaigns for Major International brands. She was the brand Ambassador for Tresemme' Egypt for four years, being the face of the brand and covering New York Fashion Week on behalf of Tresemme' Egypt.
