Jalen Eason

Jalen Eason is a SAG-AFTRA Actor and Producer, Writer, Content Creator and Animator. He began performing in high school when a dedicated teacher, upon learning that he wanted to act, wrote a comedic film for him to star in. After briefly considering a career in child therapy, he decided to pursue his passion for acting by attending Roosevelt University's College for The Performing Arts in Chicago. Located in the heart of Downtown, he got to experience all that the city had to offer and soon began to appear in various plays, including August Wilson's Fences and Colman Domingo's Wild With Happy.
Shortly after graduation, Jalen signed with Big Mouth Talent and booked his first film, Bernadette, which was later screened at the Cleveland International Film Festival.
The following year, he drove to Los Angeles with the woman who would later become his wife, where he began writing and learned more about cinematography, photography and screenwriting by reading and watching as many books and videos as he could on the subject. This led to the pair creating Apt 56 Productions.
When the covid-19 pandemic hit, he created a web series starring himself and his wife, in the style of a reality-competition series about what happens when two people are stuck together in a studio apartment.
Jalen is also creating a few animated series, Mr. AI and Vampire in Beverly Hills, as well as sketch comedy and a talk show he co-hosts called The Brownie Sunday Show. He is also involved with The Torrance Theatre Company and played the role of Gil in it's 2023 run of Wild With Happy, written by Colman Domingo.

PERSONAL LIFE
Jalen was in Westland, Michigan. He has one brother and 3 stepsisters. At a young age, he started playing basketball, and has a cousin who is in the WNBA. He also played football in high school but ultimately decided to quit after graduating. He does however, still continue to play basketball for fun and coaches children.
Jalen married actress Cori Munro in Los Angeles on October 10, 2020. Due to covid-19 restrictions, they had a socially distant wedding that was filmed and live streamed on Facebook with only LA family present. Together they have a cat named Samoa.
In addition to acting, Jalen practices Zen Buddhism and teaches meditation through his company, Enso's Dream Meditation & Stress Management. Prior to this, he'd developed severe insomnia as a result of the global pandemic and rising tensions surrounding race and police brutality in America. After years of finding only temporary solutions, he turned to Meditation, which ultimately gave him long term relief from his sleep deprivation and changed his outlook on life for the better. He also partners with cannabis brands and dispensaries to offer walking meditations throughout Los Angeles, called The Flower Hour.
