Oscar Raynard Gary, Jr. is an American actor, writer, and storyteller known for his roles in The Available Wife and Secrets, as well as his guest appearances on NCIS and Bull.
Raised in Capron, Virginia, alongside his three siblings, Oscar discovered his passion for the arts early, performing in his first play in elementary school and writing short stories by the age of 14. A graduate of Norfolk State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, he further honed his storytelling skills by earning a Master's Degree in Creative Writing from Full Sail University in 2021.
After establishing a successful career in the federal government, Oscar returned to his creative roots in 2014, beginning to pursue acting during his free time. In 2018, he relocated to Brooklyn, NY, to study Method Acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute.
Oscar's faith has always been a key and vital part of his creativity and motivation. Inspired by his mother, who was a pastor and evangelist, he followed in her footsteps, serving as a youth minister in college. Today, he continues to express his faith and give back to his community through volunteer work and his involvement in his local church in Los Angeles.
