Ricardo Thurmond

Ricardo Thurmond is an American actor and film producer. He is best known for his role as Correctional Officer Dolan on the NBC hit drama Chicago Fire (2012). He also guest starred on the Fox show Empire (2015) and was the co-lead to the TV movie thriller Liberty Crossing as Eddie Savage. Ricardo was also casted as Tyrell Simmons on Pleasant High which has a spin off called He's Back which is a short film. Ricardo began his acting career in typical fashion: performing in high school productions and community theatre where he played Othello. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Elaine Thurmond, who worked at Rush Presbyterian Hospital as a registered nurse. As a single parent, they moved to the south suburbs where Ricardo, at the time a teenager, attended Thornton Township High School. Bitten by the acting bug, that is where it all began.
