Mimo Magri is a Montreal-born, New York-based multidisciplinary artist with a background in acting, singing, and dance. She has trained at institutions including the Susan Batson Studio, Anthony Meindel NY, William Esper Studio, and Omnibus Miming School.
Mimo contributed as an actor and composer to the short film Les Câlins Cheap (dir. Sarah Baskin), inspired by Annick Lefebvre's play. The film received multiple awards, including Best Drama at the Toronto Shorts International Film Festival (2022) and New York CineFest (2023), and earned her a nomination for Best Sound and Sound Design at the Beeston Festival (UK). She also performed the role on stage at the Hudson Theater Guild, where her singing was nominated for Best Singing Act at the 2018 New York WinterFest.
Her screen credits include roles in SAPINS by Stéphane Moukarzel, À la vie, à l'amor by Émilie Mannering and Lex Garcia (TIFF 2022, FNC 2022), and BAIL BAIL (Regards 2024, Fantasia 2024, and Plein Écran 2025) by Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers. On television, she has appeared in Power Book III: Raising Kanan (Starz), Wong & Winchester (CityTV), and Fugueuse (Season 2), among others. She also features in Becoming Kelly (SowTheSeeds prod.) and The United States vs. Billie Holiday (dir. Lee Daniels).
In addition to her acting work, Mimo has released several EPs and collaborations in alternative R&B and hip-hop, showcasing her talents as a singer and producer.
In 2025, Mimo is set to perform in L'Amour ou Rien, a multidisciplinary creation by Mélanie Demers (Mayday), based on All About Love by bell hooks, presented at Espace GO.
