    • Mercedes Morris is a multi-disciplinary artist from Scarborough, ON. She's an accomplished actress who has appeared on screens and stages across the country. In addition to her lead role on SkyMed for Paramount+ and CBC, Morris can be seen recurring on CBS's Ghosts. Her other recent credits include The Amityville Curse (Incendo), Y: The Last Man (Hulu), American Gods (Starz/Prime), Hudson and Rex (City), Killjoys (Temple Street Productions) and as the series lead on Slasher season 3 and season 5 (Shaftesbury/Netflix). She also joined the cast of Between (City/Netflix) in the second season as a series lead. Notable stage credits include captivating roles in Pipeline (Soulpepper), Tartuffe (Canadian Stage, Stratford Festival); Lear (Groundling Theatre); and Twelfth Night, The School for Scandal (Stratford Festival). Mercedes also has extensive motion capture experience, appearing in multiple Ubisoft video game titles, including Far Cry 6 and Star Wars: Outlaws.

      As a singer-songwriter, Mercedes uses her vocal prowess to command the mic. Her unique fusion of R&B and Caribbean flavour, influenced by her Toronto hometown and Jamaican /Guyanese background, is available on all music streaming platforms.

      Beyond her artistic pursuits, Mercedes is a dedicated advocate for equity, inclusion, and representation within the entertainment industry. As Executive Vice President of ACTRA Toronto and Chair of the Young Emerging Actors Assembly (YEAA), she leads initiatives that uplift and support the next generation of artists, especially within the BIPOC community. She remains especially passionate about mentoring graduating drama students from her alma maters, the University of Toronto (Mississauga) and Sheridan College.
