The following contains major spoilers from NCIS: Origins Season 1, Episode 11, "Flight of Icarus," which debuted Monday, Jan. 27 on CBS. It also contains discussion of suicide.
NCIS: Origins Season 1, Episode 11, "Flight of Icarus" is a prime example of what makes the show different -- and in some cases better -- than its long-running predecessor. The novelty of Origins being a prequel has already worn off. It's that the series has a more serious tone than NCIS and is digging more regularly into its characters. While there's still humor, "Flight of Icarus" proves that this program is at its best when it lets go of the franchise formula.
"Flight of Icarus" concerns the death of Captain Cameron Reid, which Mike Franks and his team quickly determine to be a suicide.

Acolyte of the Altar offers unique classes & fun combat mechanics, but lacks replayability & metaprogression incentives. The game features creatively designed bosses with thematic abilities & synergy, adding excitement & challenge to each encounter. Despite bugs and underdeveloped concepts, Acolyte of the Altar shows promise with plans for metaprogression, making it worth watching.
Acolyte of the Altar combines roguelike deckbuilding and boss rush mechanics in a darkly charming fantasy world, though a lack of depth in some areas holds the title back. It's the debut release from indie developer Black Kite Games, a studio founded by former Red Dead Redemption 2 designer Cameron Reid. The strategy game brings a lot of unique ideas to the table, particularly in its enemies, but a dearth of metaprogression incentives limits its replayability.
The world of Acolyte of the Altar is one ravaged by a war between worshipers - acolytes who have formed pacts with spurned gods in exchange for magic.
