From an early age, Jem was drawn to the arts and performance. He earned a BA (Hons) in Western Languages and Literature from Istanbul University, where he focused on English Language and Literature as well as American Drama and Theatre.
Following his graduation, Jem completed his military service in the Turkish Army, an experience that contributed to his sense of discipline. After his time in the service, Jem's enduring fascination with the arts led him to study acting, sparking a transition from scholar to performer.
Jem relocated to the United Kingdom, where he eventually became a British citizen while proudly retaining his Turkish citizenship.
Since then, he has built a diverse and dynamic career in the performing arts, appearing in a range of British and American feature films and television productions.His work reflects a colorful blend of diverse roles and sheer dramatic talent, making him a compelling and often imposing presence on the screen.
He appeared most recently alongside Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan in the acclaimed Paramount+ crime drama MobLand.
