Alessandro Schuster has been acting in front of the camera since the age of 13. He made his television debut in spring 2016 as the son of Detective Gorniak in the long-running crime series "Tatort Dresden", becoming a recurring member of the ensemble and appearing in seven episodes until 2021. Over the years, he went on to play lead roles in various episodic dramas, including "Letzte Spur Berlin" and "SOKO Leipzig", and took on substantial parts in several TV films, such as "Polizeiruf Rostock: Seine Familie". On the big screen, he appeared as part of the core supporting cast in Til Schweiger's films "Class Reunion 1.0" and "The Wedding".
In spring 2021, Schuster completed filming for Season 3 of the international hit series "Das Boot", joining the main cast under the direction of Hans Steinbichler and Dennis Gansel. The season premiered on Sky in May 2022. He also starred as the male lead in "Shadows Of The Past", a television drama directed by Dominik Graf, which aired on ARD in 2023. That same year, he played central ensemble roles in two major ZDF productions: the six-part event series "The Second Wave" and the psychological horror mini-series "Things We Fear". In fall 2024, he portrayed Giselher in the theatrical release of "Hagen", a hybrid production by Constantin Film. In 2025, he returned to the role in "War Of The Kingdoms", a six-part epic event series.
In February 2025, Schuster received the DAfFNE Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "Things We Fear". A year earlier, he was honored with the Askania Award as a Shooting Star.
In addition to his acting career, Schuster also creates his own short films. His 2018 project "The Boy With The Teddy" won the Best Acting Ensemble Platinum Award in North Hollywood and was nominated for the "Young Filmmaker Annual Award" in 2019.
