Kristi Lopez(I)

Kristi Lopez is a professional MMA fighter, writer, director, registered nurse and all around renaissance woman. Born in Lancaster, CA Kristi's desire for adventure, art and athleticism started at a young age. Kristi is a first generation Puerto Rican American. Her father was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and her mom is from California, USA. Kristi comes from a family of boxers and fighters and was raised with three brothers and has said that is where the beginning of her martial arts training began. A self proclaimed girly tomboy she has been burning bridges since she was able to walk. Kristi started training swimming at just 8 months old and went on to swim in high school and college, where she received a water polo scholarship to CSUMB and majored in Teledramatic arts and Technology with an emphasis in visual design. Kristi spent many years ocean life guarding with many rigorous trainings and certifications including code 3 driver training, rock rescues, watercraft rescue, EMT and scuba certification. Not satisfied with that Kristi moved to Puerto Rico for two years where she earned her B.S in Nursing and started training mixed martial arts. She has said she is one of the few fighters known for being able to beat up her opponents and then provide professional medical care after. After returning to the US Kristi began competing in professional Mixed martial arts and has competed on the highest levels of with the ultimate fighter TV show and Bellator MMA. Kristi continued her love of martial arts with stunt work and action roles.
