Cuneyt Karakus borne in Ankara in September 1980. He studied Radio Tv. and Cinema degree programme at Gazi University Faculty of Communication. After that, he studied photography as a second degree. He opened photography exhibitions. He received the 5th International Golden Saffron Documentary Film Festival (20-23 September 2004) Amateur Category First Prize and Anatolian Art Historians Association Special Award (2004) with his documentary titled "Beyond the Sun / Günesin Otesi". With his fictional short film, called Suret (2013) he won several awards at the prestigious national and international short film festivals. He shot a documentary called as Doctoral Dissertations in Communication Science in Turkey with the Eye Witness of Oya Tokgoz, in 2015.
He is granted with the film production support from the Directorate General of Cinema, Ministry of Culture and Tourism with his first feature movie -Eflatun. Eflatun received Best Producer awards from Bosphorus Film Festival.
He is a volunteer book reader for disabled people.
