Prior to becoming a Talent Agent, Diane earned an Honours Psychology undergrad at the University of Alberta before moving to the west coast to attend law school in Vancouver. After completing government internships, articling at a boutique family law / divorce litigation firm, and being called to the Bar in British Columbia, Diane realized that her true passions lay in the arts rather than in law.
From there, she began taking classes at SchoolCreative (Vancouver Acting School), including completing the 6-month Intensive program for on-screen and voice-over acting. She then continued her training with top instructors at Andrew McIlroy & Associates and Anthony Meindl Actors' Workshop.
Meanwhile, Diane developed in her 'day job' as a corporate recruiter, specializing in the matchmaking of tech professionals with new opportunities.
Eventually making the decision to merge her legal, business, and career counselling experience with a continuing love of the film industry, Diane decided to transition to being a Talent Agent for actors and entertainers in Hollywood North. She joined Leo Management in 2015 as a Principal & Commercial talent agent and immediately began signing and booking exciting new talent in the local industry.
In 2016, Diane moved to CCA to expand her portfolio to include voiceover representation. Key successes during her time at this agency included booking a young client in a series lead role for a CBC comedy (for which the actor was nominated for a UBCP/ACTRA Award), and guiding a voice artist to land multiple leading and major recurring roles in numerous animated projects.
In the summer of 2018, Diane joined the team at Lucas Talent and is proud to now be part of one of Canada's most established and well-recognized agencies. She supports emerging diverse talent to enter and succeed in the entertainment industry across all media platforms including film, television, commercials, animation, and video games.
