Bodacious is a slang word that means that a person, place or thing is phenomenal, "bad" as in good, and out of this world. That is what sums up Stephen "Fredason" Everson as a person and a film director. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on January 1st singled "Fredason" out from everyone straight from birth. That special day set precedence for what was to come. Always known, as intelligent and creative, "Fredason" did not surprise anyone when he won 2nd place in a contest hosted for the whole Cincinnati Public School District for the best story.Always viewing things differently from the world, when "Fredason" reached his early teens he did not have anywhere to channel his talents and energy and started to get into trouble Eager to utilize his creativity, at 14 he began to rap, but his favorite Past Time was to get together with some friends, pretend that they were Gang star or NWA and video them while they performed. By the time he reached 19, "Fredason" knew that he wanted to direct music videos and feature films. His family sent him to Atlanta ga. to have a better opportunity so In 1994, he came to Atlanta with a desire to direct, but without any contacts or a place to live. He went from being homeless, having his apartment burn down, staying at the Salvation Army, and finally settling down in his current home. During all this adversity his vision didn't waver, he still wanted to direct.

Constantly making contacts finally paid off for "Fredason". He began to freelance doing whatever was needed such as lighting, using cameras and lenses, setting up stages and operating other equipment. He worked with Kim Moye from Rowdy Records, was the assistant to Ricardo Butler for the group OutKast, did lighting for the 69 Boys, shot his first video for the artist "Leslie' a collaboration between Patez Entertainment and Dangerous Music ( Too Short), and worked on the Punk Barbarians video "Put that thang down" during Freaknik '94'. In 1996, he worked setup for the concert of Pink Floyd, Billy Joel, and Elton John with live footage and learned how to shoot big crowds. He also interned with Eric Haywood and Rubin Whitmore III for Goodie Mobb as an intern director. By 1999, he shot and edited his first video for The Ghetto Allstars of Ghetto Entertainment, which aired regionally on television. Strange Fruit Films saw Fredason's video of The Ghetto Allstars and decided that they would assist in developing him as a director. Tracey Baker, Nia Hill, and D'Angela P. Steed, assisted in developing his director skills. He has received instruction "on set" from famed music video Director Dave Meyers. By collaborating with various professionalss, he acquired additional knowledge from some of the best in the film bussiness.

Over the last decade years "Fredason" has directed television commercials and music videos, one of which aired nationally during the 2003 NBA All-Star Game. He has previously worked with companies local businesses light of law inc. Capital motors, Lisa k. He prides himself on loving the craft of Filmmaking. This embodies being, resourceful and creative. My mind is my canvas!
