- While stationed in Korea with the U.S. Army, Jack got the opportunity to be a cameraman for NBC for the 1988 Seoul Olympic games.
- In 1981, just before joining the Marine Corps, Jack performed on stage, in a production of, "Oliver!" with, Orson Bean as Fagin, Heather McRae as Nancy and Christian Slater as, Oliver. This production also included the future Broadway playwright and music composer, Stephen Dolginoff. Highlight: Jack attended Christian's 10th Birthday Party.
