Eugen Merher is a 2x Vimeo Staff Pick alum, Student Academy Award-nominated writer & director from Germany and born in Moldova, with a particular love for urban legends, sci-fi and underdog characters. He got into filmmaking as a kid using his parents' DV camera to shoot action flicks with his buddies, inspired by anything from the 90s (in particular Leon: The Professional by Luc Besson). He graduated in 2020 from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, making loads of short films and spec commercials along the way.
