Yassin Kamel

Born and growing up in a somewhat conservative culture in Saudi Arabia on July 15th, 1982; Yassin was lucky to be part of a multicultural family. This was an influential factor that helped shape Yassin's character and fueled his passion towards further exploration. Following his heart, he knew he had to break boundaries in order to fulfill his dream and exercise his true talent; a dream that his culture and social status could not sharpen and expand at the time; an industry that was a kind of a Taboo or a red line that he would not be allowed to overpass. It was the movie industry! Knowing that, he decided to move to a place that would take him closer to fulfilling his dream, and despite being the biggest hub of Movie business in the Middle East region; yet not so easy to penetrate; Egypt was the resolution. It was a planned and focused move and despite facing many obstacles in a very competitive environment and through many attempts, he finally succeeded to sell his talent as a professional screen writer to one of the top production companies in Egypt; "Film Clinic". They ended up producing his first written movie "El Alamy" at just 25 years of age. The film generated very positive critique and is considered his first true step in fulfilling his dream.
