Biography

Brother of Rick Lagina and father of Alex Lagina.

Marty attended and graduated from Michigan State University College of Law with a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree and a field of study in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law. His graduation, with honors, was in 1982.

Marty belongs to several organizations such as: State Bar of Michigan; American Society of Mechanical Engineers; Society of Petroleum Engineers, Chartwell Properties, Michigan Tech Board of Trustees; and Michigan Oil and Gas Association.

As a youth, he graduated from Kingsford High School in 1973; Kingsford, Michigan.

For his undergraduate work, he attended Michigan Technological University and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering. He graduated in 1977. While there, he participated with Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma fraternities.
