Gopala Davies

Gopala Davies is an award-winning director and actor with over a decade of experience in theatre and film. He holds a BA Honours in Drama and Film Studies (Cum Laude), is a Level 4 certified Makaton communicator and has won numerous accolades including 'Best Director' at the 2022 SA Indie Film Festival for his short film, Eventide. This film was inspired by his personal engagement with vision loss, and is a testament to his dedication to telling diverse, inclusive stories in an authentic and thought-provoking way. With his Makaton training, Gopala can communicate effectively with individuals who have learning or communication difficulties, creating a safe, inclusive environment and therefore encouraging truly authentic, nuanced performances that resonate with audiences of all backgrounds and abilities.
