The New England regional sports network has launched a free streaming channel to cover Boston and other northeast teams.

Right now, the Boston Bruins are one point out of the NHL Eastern Conference Playoffs with a month and a half still to play, and the Boston Red Sox are getting things going in spring training. So the regional sports network (Rsn) that covers both teams (and much more) has decided that now is the perfect time to drop the news that it is adding a free ad-supported streaming TV (Fast) channel to its lineup of coverage options. On Thursday, Nesn announced the creation of Nesn Nation, an around-the-clock free channel that will provide Boston fans nationwide with additional coverage of the teams and athletes that they love. The NHL forgoes the traditional All-Star events this year for the new 4 Nations Face-Off. This seven-game tournament takes place in Montreal and Boston February 12-20, and includes teams made up of the best players from Canada, Finland, Sweden and the USA. Team USA features Jack Eichel, Auston Matthews, Dylan Larkin, Jake Guentzel (pictured above with Larkin), and brothers Brady and Matthew Tkachuck. This year, it came down to a thrilling seven-game series with the Blues finally taking the Cup on Wednesday night at the Td Garden in Boston with a 4-1 victory.
