France TV Distribution, the sales and co-production arm of public broadcaster France Televisions Group, is launching international distribution on Season 2 of comedy series “Aspergirl” at the upcoming edition of Mip London, set for February 23-27.
Distributed worldwide by France TV distribution, the country’s biggest TV exporter, “Aspergirl” Season 2 is produced by Paris-based Patafilm, founded by entrepreneur Antonin Ehrenberg, in co-production with Belgium’s Velvet Films.
Filming for Season 2 of “Aspergirl,” structured as an eight chapters, 22-minute each, began in September in Angoulême and will be ready for delivery by the fall.
“Aspergirl” turns on Louison, a single-mother that discovers she has autism spectrum disorder when her son Guilhem is himself diagnosed following an incident at school. The Louison leading role in the series is played by French actress Nicole Ferroni (“Mental”).
