Besart Sllamniku was born in Pristina, Kosovo. After graduating from the prestigious "Sami Frashëri" Gymnasium in 2003, he pursued his passion for the arts by enrolling at the Faculty of Arts in Pristina. There, under the mentorship of renowned directors Faruk Begolli and Armond Morina, Besart honed his skills and made his stage debut in Secrets of Love. His early career saw him collaborating frequently with director and friend Kushtrim Koliqi, performing in both national and local theaters.
In 2012, Besart's career took a pivotal turn when he partnered with filmmaker Genc Berisha to create Të Mjerët (2013), an independent dark thriller that garnered critical acclaim and was hailed as the production of the year. Although it did not reach a wide audience, the film solidified Besart's reputation as a film actor. His continued collaboration with Berisha resulted in two more notable films: If We Can Do It, We Will Do It (2015) and Zonjusha (2016), leaving a lasting impact on the Kosovo film industry.
Besart's career reached new heights as both a lead actor and producer in two record-breaking films: Diamanti (2018) and Adnan Kafazi (2022). These films further cemented his standing in the Kosovo cinematic landscape, showcasing his versatility and leadership behind the scenes. His performances, along with his producing contributions, have made these films major successes, solidifying his place as a multifaceted figure in contemporary Kosovar cinema.
